Jack's ethos centers around fostering a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of background, feels supported on their fitness journey. His passion for inclusivity and wellness permeates every aspect of AfterBurn Gym's culture.
Outside the gym, Jack leads by example, whether he's on the rugby field with Midhurst Rugby Club or cherishing moments with his son, Alfie. Known for his adventurous spirit, Jack thrives on challenges, evident in his completion of marathons and ultra-marathons, often in the service of charitable causes.

Exercise Specialist
Billy is a highly qualified Exercise Specialist with a Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning and a proven track record of helping people move, feel, and perform better.
Before joining AfterBurn Gym, Billy honed his skills at Nuffield Health, one of the UK’s leading healthcare and well-being organisations. There, he gained invaluable experience working alongside physiotherapists, clinical specialists, and fitness professionals to deliver results-driven programs for a wide range of clients—from post-rehabilitation to peak performance athletes.
Billy’s approach combines cutting-edge sports science with a strong emphasis on functional movement, injury prevention, and long-term progress. His sessions are always purposeful, supportive, and built around your individual goals.
He’s a natural coach who thrives on seeing others grow—both physically and mentally. Whether you’re new to training or looking to take your performance to the next level, Billy brings the expertise, energy, and care to get you there.

Physiotherapist
Meet Matt, our Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at AfterBurn. With a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration, and membership of both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the British Geriatrics Society (BGS), Matt combines professional expertise with a friendly, supportive approach.
Specialising in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, Matt creates clear, personalised treatment plans that guide clients through every stage of recovery. From sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation or everyday aches and pains, they focus on restoring strength, movement, and confidence so you can get back to doing the things you enjoy.
As an injury rehabilitation specialist, Matt develops safe return-to-play pathways and works closely with GPs and consultants when onward referrals are needed. Their blend of diagnostic skill, hands-on therapy, and evidence-based advice ensures treatment is not only effective but tailored to each individual.

Emma is a passionate Personal Trainer with a mission to make fitness empowering and transformative. She works with clients at every stage—whether you’re new to the gym, rebuilding after injury, or aiming to push your performance to the next level.
Her own recovery from a life-changing car accident gave her firsthand experience of the challenges of regaining strength and confidence. That journey taught her the importance of perseverance, patience, and sustainable progress—values she now shares with every client.
Emma’s approach combines effective training with lifestyle and nutrition guidance, focusing on strength, mobility, confidence, and long-term results. Her sessions are supportive, motivating, and always tailored to your individual goals.

Level 3 qualified in Personal Training, Fitness Instructing, and GP Exercise Referral. Gemma offers a well-rounded approach to health and fitness. Her focus is on creating sustainable, realistic routines that work around her clients’ daily lives, no matter their starting point.
Gemma is passionate about helping people unlock their full potential, guiding them with patience, encouragement, and a deep understanding of the emotional and physical barriers that can stand in the way of progress.

Alice has been devoted to her passion for strength training for over a decade when she first stepped into a gym—and she's never looked back. Alice spent the last 8 years working in hospitality and completing a BSc in Forensic Psychology. She has developed a deep understanding of people, learning how to adapt to different personalities, needs, and challenges faced in modern day society. This adaptability now plays a key role in her approach to personal training.
With her own fitness journey facing hurdles along the way, she understands first hand that training is not always linear but with the right guidance and programming, strength training can truly change your life.
Now a qualified personal trainer, Alice is dedicated to helping others see that fitness doesn't have to be complicated. With a coaching style centred around personal experience, evidence-based practice and realistic goal setting, she aims to empower others to improve strength not just in the gym, but to build confidence and resilience in all areas of life.
